They are not turned away. An after-hours visitor still completes check-in and still joins the queue — they simply see a different screen.
What the visitor sees: a "We're currently closed" card showing your published weekly hours, and a note confirming "We've received your details. You're in the queue — if someone is available, we'll connect you automatically." If you configured a demo email, they also get a Schedule a Demo button to request a time.
What your team sees: the visitor is inserted into the reception queue with status waiting, exactly like any other visitor, and receptionists are notified by email. The notification subject is flagged (after hours) and the body carries an amber banner reading "This visitor arrived outside business hours. Please follow up."
Because they are a normal queued visitor, a receptionist who happens to be online can still admit or transfer them, and the visitor is connected automatically.
The check fails open. If business hours are disabled, your workspace timezone is invalid, or a day's times are malformed, the lobby treats the workspace as open rather than locking visitors out by accident.
