How do I lock a room?

Locking a room stops other members from entering while you are inside. It happens in two parts.

1. An admin enables locking on the room

1. Open the Admin Dashboard and go to the Rooms tab.
2. Edit the room and turn on its lock option.

2. Anyone in the room locks it

1. Enter the room.
2. Click Lock Room in the room header. It becomes Unlock Room and an orange Locked badge appears next to the room name.

The Lock Room button only appears if an admin enabled locking for that room.

Behavior worth knowing:

• Admins bypass locks and can always enter. This is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.
• Locked rooms are hidden from the Switch Room list, so nobody can transfer into one.
• A room unlocks automatically once everyone leaves, so a forgotten lock cannot strand a room permanently.

Room locks and passkeys are independent — you can use either, both, or neither.
